Do you have a play that you can’t wait to see on stage?

We accept submissions but please review our website in order to familiarize yourself with the company’s works and the kind of plays we produced before submitting your script.

NOWADAYS THEATRE is most interested in works that tackle politically and ideologically challenging issues.

In keeping with NOWADAYS THEATRE’s mandate to produce original, innovative and relevant theatre experiences that stimulate and inspire people to think critically, we are interested in plays that engage audiences intellectually and emotionally, and encourage dialogue between them.

NOWADAYS THEATRE endeavours to be instrumental in the development of new work, and with enthusiasm and care, we would like to engage artists of diverse ages, orientations, ethnicities, abilities and genders.

We are a small company with limited means and we aim to pay our artists (including you!). Small casts are a must, so four characters or under is the deal.

If you would like to submit your script to us, please submit your email and join our mailing list first.

Please prepare and submit the following , either as Word/PDF files and upload:

1. A one page summary,

2. The whole play,

3. CV or résumé (theatre and/or playwriting)

4. Links to websites and/or social media profiles

5. Please provide any additional information that would be helpful to us in making our decision e.g. previous plays, books, films, productions, artistic works.
